Let’s meet on December 1st in Paris
On December 1st, the first international conference dedicated to the Netbook market will be held in Paris at the Maison de la Chimie.
The conference, organized by the Netbook World Summit Council, takes place within the scope of the Open World Forum.
A product
The Netbook market has seen astonishing growth since 2007 and should reach 50 milllion units in 2010 (ref. Gartner Group Report).
Technology, price, functionality and adaptability to multiple targets make the Netbook an innovative product.

The aim of this conference is to review the state of the market, its technology, its key players and its core trends.
The key players will outline their offers, strategies and results:

- the ODMs, essentially Taiwanese, who design and produce Netbooks,
- the OEMs who distribute under their trade name,
- software publishers who supply the operating systems and applications for Netbooks,
- telecom operators who distribute these machines and furnish their connectivity functionality.
It will also be an exceptional place and time for all the industry players to meet and network as well as to attend presentations by such prestigious speakers as:
- Eszter Morvay, Senior Research Analyst at IDC (European Personal Computing),
- Walter Bender, Founder of Sugar Labs and former President of the OLPC project.
Technical seminaries will cover a large spread of fields including the strategic questions of leading edge technology.
